G.C.Grebe, pair on Ogden displaying,

Cormorant, minimum of 6 on Ogden but probably more overall,

Grey Heron, 1 over Hog Lowe Pike towards grane res's,

Canada Goose, c40 in pairs or small groups,

Mallard, c12,

Goosander, 1 male on Holden Wood,

Kestrel, male flew down the Valley,

Sparrowhawk, 3 soaring,

Buzzard, 1 soaring,

Pheasant, 1 calling,

Lapwing, c8 around Holden Wood, some in display,

L.R.Plover, pair,

Oystercatcher, pair at Calf Hey,

Golden Plover, 2 singles on Haslingden Moor,

Curlew, 1 single over Haslingden Moor was the only bird seen,

L.B.B.Gull, c100 over usually heading south / east,

Herring Gull, 14 over east,

B.H.Gull, c12,

Common Gull, 1 on Holden Wood,

Wood Pigeon, c20 in small groups,

Collared Dove, pair at bottom of Heap Clough,

Stock Dove, 1 in Jamestone Quarry,

G.S.Woodpecker, 2 in Heap Clough,

Green Woodpecker, 1 or more yaffling especially around Calf Hey,

Meadow Pipit, c20, many in display around Ogden especially,

Pied Wagtail, c6,

Song Thrush, c4 in song,

Mistle Thrush, 1 in song and pair near Calf Hey,

Fieldfare, single with the Mistle Thrushes at Calf Hey,

Coal Tit, c6 calling,

L.T.Tit, single at Holden Wood,

Jay, 2 x 2 and a single,

Goldfinch, c12,

Greenfinch, c6,

Chaffinch, c20 many in song,

Redpoll, 3 singles over calling,

Siskin, c12 especially at Heap Clough, very vocal,

Reed Bunting, 2 males and a female at Holden Wood.
