18:30 hrs

Lots of evensong from the birds this evening mainly Blackbird, Robin and Song Thrush.

Rook nests at Crawshawbooth are around the 30 mark - getting less every year.

Greenfold - Swinshaw moor

Pr Raven came up off the gound and flew as far as Pinner clough then onto Cribden. One bird had a primary missing. Also a different pair flew in from the east onto Chapel Hill this afternoon. No doubt there are plenty of sheep carcasses about after the recent cold spell.
