Bit of a gaudy one today as a customer brought in his camera to show me a strange bird hanging around his farm for at least the last 3 days. A eye popping colours of a Male Golden Pheasant.

Are you ticking this one Dave?

Whilst preparing the rugby pitch at Sedgley Park RUFC, Whitefield, North Mcr, in December 2004 a Male Lady Amherst pheasant was present for about half an hour, obviously an escapee from a private collection. I mentioned the sighting on the club website, as Christmas was approaching some wag replied 'Are you sure it wasn't just a bird in fancy dress'.

Well that is worrying Tony

If it was a male then not only in fancy dress but possibly in drag! Hard to stomach and the meat is chewy as well!
