Stubbins to Ewood Bridge round robin.

Dawn to 1000 hrs, bright sunny cool wind, river low.

Blue Tit    good numbers.

Great Tit  ditto.

Long-tailed Tit  two pair.

Coal Tit  several pairs.

Chaffinch  very good numbers, as was the winter count.

Goldfinch  odd ones.

Bullfinch   still doing well, several nest sites.

Nuthatch  doing well, nesting at old sites.

Treecreeper  one pair with young.

Robin  several young seen.

Wren   seem to be good numbers.

House Sparrow  small group in Irwell Vale.

Blackcap  doing very well, best numbers recorded.

Willow Warbler  6/7 seen or heard.

Chiffchaff   one seen singing.

Goldcrest  still only one pair at usual site.

Garden Warbler  one pair with in 200 yards of last years nest site.

Spotted Flycatcher  3 individuals, no nesting activity.

Whitethroat   one feeding near EBSW.

Starling  small flock in horse field.

Song Thrush  5/6 in song, some with food.

Mistle Thrush  one pair feeding in field.

Blackbird  good numbers several young seen.

Jay  only one seen.

Great Spotted Woodpecker  3/4 pair

Green Woodpecker  one calling near old nest site.

Magpie  2/3 pair.

Jackdaw  two nest sites, lots around.

Rook  plenty feeding, 30+ nests at St Johns Shuttleworth

Carrion Crow  some feeding, several over.

Wood Pigeon  plenty.

Collard Dove  4/5 pair.

Stock Dove  one flying.

Pheasant   two males one female.

Swift  several over.

House Martin   20+ over

Swallow  12 over.

Sand Martin  several over, now 9 nest sites very active, on river.

Dipper  3 pair two with young.

Kingfisher  two flying up river.

Pied Wagtail  one pair nesting on river bank.

Mallard  lots with well grown young.

Goosander  one male 3 female.

Moorhen  pair with young.

Blackheaded Gull  3 on the river.

Absent, Grey Wagtail, Grey Heron, Greenfinch, and any birds of prey.
