Grey Heron, 1 flew over Swinshaw Moor,

Mallard, 2 males on Clough Bottom,

Kestrel, male hunting over Swallow Shore,

Pheasant, 4 calling birds,

Curlew, c4 singles, all singing,

Lapwing, 5. On Swallow Shore / Peers Clough area,

L.B.B.Gull, c30 feeding on pasture near Swinshaw Moor,

Stock Dove, 3 near Greenfold, 2 singles at Edge Cote & Swallow Shore,

Wood Pigeon, c20 in small groups,

Swift, c12 hunting over the moors,

Skylark, c40, good numbers mainly singing,

Swallow, c40 good numbers especially around Swallow Shore / Peers Clough,

Meadow Pipit, c50, good numbers now back in,

Pied Wagtail, 1 at Clough Bottom Res,

Grey Wagtail, 1 at Clough Bottom Res,

Song Thrush, 1 singing at Clough Bottom Res,

Willow Warbler, c15 mainly at Clowbridge & plantations on the top near Compston's Cross,

Goldcrest, 2 singing at Clough Bottom Res,

Coal Tit, 3 singing at Clough Bottom Res,

Rook, 38 feeding on pasture above Crawshawbooth & c20 near Peers Clough,

Jackdaw, c60 usually near the Rooks,

Starling, c60 at Peers Clough included many juvs,

Redpoll, 2 near Compston's,

Goldfinch, c6,

Greenfinch, 2 at Marl Pits,

Chaffinch, c20 , many in song,

Bullfinch, calling at Edge Cote & Marl Pits,

Reed Bunting, 4 males, 3 in song!
