0800 to 1030 Hrs sunny, cold, 2 degrees very wet underfoot, on my return it started snowing.

River very high and coloured, just a few Mallard not much else.

Dipper on side stream.

Nuthatch.

Bullfinch.

Treecreeper.

All the usual tits in good numbers, including Long-tailed.

Flock of Redwing 30+

Flock of Fieldfare 15+

Finches few and far between, the highlight being a flock of very mobile Brambling about 18 strong high up on the Beeches in Buckden woods.

Three Goldfinch and one Greenfinch in farm yard.

Robins and Wrens in good numbers.

Plenty of Corvids on the farm land and probably to many Magpie.

Several Jays in the woods.

Large numbers of Woodpigeon.

Two Snipe flushed from a silage pit.

Blackbirds.

One Mistle Thrush.

The feeding stations have been very quite with only all the usual suspects, no winter migrants or large numbers, one thing of note is the numbers of Coal Tit, these are highest numbers I have recorded at this time of year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all.
