A very pleasant walk (apart from conditions underfoot) despite the relative paucity of birds. Highlights;-
Pink-footed goose: 160 - 170 west over Bacup c12.10. I would think these were a different lot from Bob's birds (?)
Curlew 2 flushed Sharneyford (old road) and 1 Freeholds Top.
Skylark 3 singing around the Hile area and at least 5 singing between Sharneyford and Freeholds Top (plus a few more)
Thrushes - a couple of Fieldfare and about 15 Redwings above Waterfoot only winter thrushes. Singing blackbird (2), Mistle thrush (2) and song thrush (lots).
