Mistle thrush in song at Constablelee & Rawtenstall centre

Pr Grey Wagtail + 1 Pied Wagtail nr Tesco

Pr Goldfinch + 1 Redpoll at Balladen along with singing Chaffinch and calling Blue & Grt tit

2 small groups of House Sparrows along Lomas lane

Horncliffe Top - c50 L.B.B. Gull drifting S. with a few Herring gull.

1 Blackbird in delph

3 Stock Dove in quarry

Singing Skylark from the old Horncliffe tip + 4 on Cowpe Moss, considering the day there were few to be seen or heard.

Lapwing calling from moor + 9 birds on territory at Sand Beds

1 Curlew in pasture off Sand Beds lane - the only bird heard or seen in 3 hrs!

3 single Reed Buntings between Sand Beds lane and Cragg quarry 

1 Meadow Pipit in Cragg

Cowpe Moss

No sign of any Goldies

1 Woodcock + 4 Snipe flushed

2pr Canada Goose on Cowpe res.

Little of note on way down via Lench (bloody hell its steep coming down there) but a Dipper was at Rock View on the Cowpe brook.

PS 1st migrant - 1m Rishton (heard not seen) back from wintering in southern Europe! Will check positive I.D. tomorrow, there may be a female in attendance. Breeding pair?
