Great White Egret, Foulridge res. 1-5th Aug.

For anyone interested there is/ has been a G W Egret present on Lower Foulridge Res for the past few days.

Good views to be had in Church Bay (end nearest the Colne- Earby road). Park on roadside and view from footpath on North side of Res.

I Watched the bird this morning at first light on the N side of church bay ,eventually he was moved on by the Canada geese to the upper res were I watched the bird fishing ( I know the ranger who let me on the upper res),he then flew back down and settled on the edge of the lower res.
