• buzzard - 1 seen soaring over The Glen Playing Fields drifted over Brandwood & Greens Moor. Probably the same bird seen later flyinf west over Cragg Quarry
• osprey - 1 seen circling over Cragg Quarry before drifting over Cowpe Moss
• kestrel - singles at Lench, Cowpe Moss, Plunge, Cowpe Lowe, Scrubbing Mills & Hurdles Quarry
• moorhen - 2 at Lench Lodges & 1 at Kearn's Lodge
• common gull - 1 flying up the valley over Waterfoot
• kingfisher - 1 at Lench Lodges
• green woodpecker - 1 at Hurdles Quarry
• great spotted woodpecker - 1 over Waterfoot
• jay - 1 at Lench
• jackdaw - c130 at Lench
• raven - 1 heard over Waterfoot then later 2 flew over Cowpe Res towards Cowpe Moss
• goldcrest - at least 2 in mixed flock at Cowpe Res
• Skylark - 3 on Cowpe Moss & 1 on the hillside above Cowpe Res
• swallow - min 20 at Lench & min 25 at Cowpe Res
• house martin - min 20 at Lench & 9 over Gaghills
• chiffchaff - 1 at Lench
• willow warbler - 1 at Lench
• blackcap - female at Lench
• nuthatch - 1 heard at Lench Lodges
• starling - c50 seen over Brandwood Moor, 13 at Lench & flocks of 20 & 35 at Cowpe Lowe
• spotted flycatcher - family party at Lench
• whinchat - 1 at Cowpe Res
• stonechat - female with 3 juvs at Cowpe Res
• wheatear - 2 near Cowpe Res, 6 in Cragg quarry & 1 at Scrubbing Mills
• pied wagtail - 5 at Lench 
• grey wagtail - 2 at Lench & 2 at Cowpe Res
• meadow pipit - 8 on the hillside above Cowpe Res, c15 on Cowpe Moss, 6 on Cowpe Lowe & a flock of c20 at Scrubbing Mills
• goldfinch - c25 at Lench
• linnet - 18 at Cowpe Res
• redpoll - 2 at Lench
