  • mallard - 11 on Lench Lodges 
  • little grebe - 1pr feeding young at Holmes Terrace Lodge
  • buzzard - 1 soaring over the bypass at Townsendfold
  • kestrel - 2 hunting over Cowpe Lowe
  • hobby - 1 flew west through Lench 
  • moorhen - adult and large juv at Lench Lodges & 2 adults and a dead bird at Holmes Terrace Lodge
  • snipe - 1 near Black Hill
  • woodpigeon - c30 at Lench
  • kingfisher - 1 at Lench Lodges
  • great spotted woodpecker - 1 at Lench
  • jackdaw - c60 at Lench
  • carrion crow min 100 at EBSW
  • raven 1 at Lench
  • house martin - c 100 hirundines seen over Fearns were probably mostly this species
  • chiffchaff - 2 singing at Park Road, Waterfoot, family party at Lench Fold Farm & 1 in tit flock near the bypass bridge at Townsendfold
  • starling - c250 feeding on the beds at EBSW included many juvs
  • dipper - singing birds at Camms, K Steels and Groundwork
  • mistle thrush - 1 at Lench
  • wheatear - 1 at Black Hill
  • grey wagtail - 1 at Lench
  • pied wagtail - c50 at EBSW
  • meadow pipit - flock of c40 at Black Hill
  • bullfinch - 3 on Greens Lane
