Lost a house key somewhere between home and a trip to Grane yesterday so I decided to re-do the path I took yesterday.   They were not found and house lock has been changed, if you find any keys there  please DON'T let me know LOL.

 

Nice to meet Neil and Paul up there!

 

On Holden Wood different birds were:-

 

adult lesser black back gull

1 g s woodpecker

1 green woodpecker

1 buzzard heard calling

 

Ogden:-

12-13 cormorants

curlew - seen by neil burke and paul burke flew off ..west wards?  i  did not see it

4 Tufted Ducks

Paul spotted Buzzard other side of valley

 

Calf Hey

 

15 min Mallard

Teal  min of 10?

lots of Goldcrest in the woods, Coal Tits doing well?

 

min of 2 Ring Ouzel on the middle path from Ogden to Calf Hey, get past second stile and they were in the little clough where the Rowans are ....some other birds in there but no chance of telling what they were ...

A couple of belated extras to this...

As we walked back along the Calf Hey dam we saw a flock of around 20 jays land in the trees on the hillside above the reservoirs. We also saw 2 stonechats and heard a reed bunting.
