Compstons Cross 08:20 - 10:40hrs with AY. NE wind + low cloud and light drizzle early then clearing.

All species moving over S.

Big redwing movement from the off, 1342 counted moving S. + several flocks dropping into plantings in Greenhill clough not seen to reappear - c200.

Starling - flock of 100 S.

Chaffinch - 24 largest flock 5.

Goldfinch - 14 largest flock 7

Greenfinch -38 largest flock 14

Bullfinch - 1 + others flying into plantings

Siskin - 1

Redpoll - 1

Wood Pigeon - flock of 26 S. with 4+3 N.

Blue Tit - 2

Coal Tit - 1 calling from planting

Meadow Pipit - 6

Mistle Thrush - 4

Reed Bunting - calling from planting numbers not known.

4 Stonechat on walls along path back to Greenfold - abscence of M.Pipits on the return was notable and ties in with the low count at Compstons earlier.

1 Mistle Thrush at Goodshaw

1 Chiffchaff seen and heard at Folly clough + 7 Redwing + 1 Bullfinch calling.
