Holden Wood:-

8 Lapwing

10 Teal?

1 grey Wagtail

2-3 Pied wagtail

2-3 meadow pipit

1 goldcrest at top end

7-8 goldfinch

2 linnet

1 grey heron

1 great white egret - appeared around 11am as seen by  Paul Burke - in its 3rd month, here till end at least

8 cormorant seen in total ?   -

60 black headed gulls plus at first 

1 kestrel

coot on way back but not in morning

On the moors above the res:-

nice to meet Neil and Paul Burke there

1 buzzard flew along slope of ogden then over

40 approx.  meadow pipits flying south in loose flocks max 6

21 snipe

2 red grouse called but none seen

min of 60 mallard in the distance over hoddlesdon moss area flying around and around - if the figures were wrong do correct.

5 herring gull imatures over

2 adult herring gulls over

80-100 fieldfare heading east

2 calls which sounded golden plover-ish but none seen

2 Skylark over

Calf hey;-

1 min Bullfinch in the woods

1 great spotted woodpecker

1 green woodpecker

some gold finch, chaffinch

1 grey wagtail

1 immature lesser black backed gull

6 teal?

5 mallard?

8 cormorant on it   -   prob highest number seen all day today

34 mallard

1 grey wagtail

I will let Kevin and Paul add and make any necessary amendments to any figures seen....Lots of Redwings and Fieldfares seen....
