14:00-17:00

Grey Heron, 1 flew up the valley,

Canada Goose, c5 pairs and a flock of 8,

Mallard, c4,

Goosander, redhead on top lodge,

Kestrel, 1 tucked away from the wind in a hedge,

Pheasant, 1 called,

Moorhen, 1 feeding on pasture,

Curlew, 2 calling birds,

Lapwing, c6 near Deeply Vale & 1 on Rossendale Schools fields,

Snipe, 4 flushed off Harden Moor,

Herring Gull, c50 over north,

L.B.B.Gull, c60 over north,

B.H.Gull, 2 on pasture,

Wood Pigeon, c50 flew from a roost in a beech tree,

Stock Dove, 1 feeding on pasture,

Skylark, 4 on Harden Moor and 3 on pasture near Deeply Vale. 

 Meadow Pipit, c50 including a flock of 30 feeding on the turf fields,

Pied Wagtail, c3,

Mistle Thrush, 1 on pasture,

Jay, a pair and 2 singles,

Rook, 1 over which is unusual for here,

Starling, flocks of 400 & 200 feeding on flooded pasture,

Chaffinch, c6, some song,

Goldfinch, c6,

Reed Bunting, 1 on Harden Moor.
