0730/1030 hrs, calm, bright, 7 degrees.

Goldfinch...charms of 7,10,15,7, all round the route.

Chaffinch... Lot of odd ones.

Siskin....4 in hawthorn at Irwell Vale

Good feeding flocks of Tits in several places, including Long-tailed.

Treecreeper...1

Goldcrest...3

Nuthatch...4

Robin... 10+

Dunnock...5+

Wren...several seen and heard

Greenfinch.... flock of around 25 feeding in hawthorn at Ravenshore, most of this species I have seen here for a long time.

House Sparrow....15+ at Ravenshore

Redwing... Two flocks of 17/13 with female Sparrowhawk in attendance.

Song Thrush...2

Blackbird....plenty through out the route.

Jay... 2

Plenty of Rooks, Jackdaw, and Woodpigeons, only one pair of Collard Dove seen.

Stock Dove....4

On the river were Grey Heron 1, Dipper 5, Grey Wagtail 1, Kingfisher 1, Goosander 3 (fe), and lots of Mallard.

Tawny Owl... One sat in entrance of nest box in Strongstry, info from Geoff.

No Bullfinch seen or heard
