Scoutmoor/Hail storm hill/Ashworth moor across Rossendale into GMC, light snow, mist, sunshine and calm 3/6 degrees.
Nothing of note on the tops, odd Snipe and Carrion Crow.
Mistle Thrush 2 on the way down.
The main reason for the post is Party of Stonechats, these were in the field between the new turbine and Yates barn near the reservoir, there were at least four female (possibly six) and two male (almost certainly 3) all were in full breeding colours extremely active catching insects in weak sunshine.
Also in this small area were 2/3 Meadow Pipit and 6 Reed Bunting.
