little grebe - 1 heard calling from Lodge Farm Lodge? Not sure what this lodge is called but is the fenced off lodge between Lumb Vale and Alden
cormorant - 1 flew down the Irwell Valley
Canada goose - 5 prs on Holmes Terrace Lodge & 1 pr at Irwell Vale
buzzard - several sightings thought to involve at least 7 birds. 1pr flew away from EBSW and were joined by another bird over Ewood Bridge. A short while later 1 was over Alden/ Snig Hole. 1pr was near Alderbottom and another bird was seen over Stubbins. Whilst talking to Brian at Strongstry 4 birds were soaring overhead.

stock dove - 1pr at Ewood Bridge
grey wagtail - 2 at Groundwork, 2 at EBSW, 2 at Irwell Vale & 1 at Strongstry
pied wagtail - c10 at EBSW
dipper - 1 at Groundwork, 1 at the Holme, 1 at Alderbottom & 2 between Strongstry & Stubbins
nuthatch - 1 at Holmes Terrace Lodge, 4 including 3 singing birds at Lumb Vale, 1pr at Alderbottom & at least 3 at Brian's feeders
treecreeper - 1 at EBSW
long-tailed tit - 1pr at Townsendfold, 2prs at EBSW, 2pr & a flock of 6 between Lumb Vale & Alderbottom & birds visiting Brian's feeders
redwing - min 30 near Lumb Vale
greenfinch - churring bird at Groundwork & a flock of 7 at EBSW
