Irwell Vale to Stubbins

Over village around 30+ Swallow with Sand Martin and the odd House Martin

1 Buzzard very high, later further on 3 Buzzards soaring together calling and one more being mobbed by B H Gull

In river 

3 Grey Wagtail

2 Dippers

3 Mallard 2m 1f

In woods 

1 G S Woodpecker watched drumming making fantastic noise 

1 Green Woodpecker 

2 Blackcaps m/f with the males black cap feathers standing up,was it displaying to female ?

7 Calling Chiffchaff along the way

Willow Warblers calling 

What looked very much like a Garden Warbler ?

11 Blackbirds m/f

2 Song Thrush

Blue-Great and Coal Tits

1 Treecreeper

1 Nuthatch

7 Magpie

carrion Crow 

Jackdaw

1 Goldcrest

5 Robin

3 Wren

5 Wood Pigeon

2 Canada Goose nesting

And two Swans flying over

Hi Craggy,

Can you send me a location for possible Garden Warbler, was hoping for a sighting before I went away on Monday, there is usually a pair between Alderbottom and Strongstry.

Do you like the information board you posted picture of !

Saw it up Lumb just has you go into the grounds of the house in the woods,the one with the ponds hope this helps
