Spent a couple of hours at Martin Down, Hampshire, with the following highlights:

Hobby, 1 feeding on insects,

Grey Partridge, 2 calling birds,

Turtle Dove, a good count of 16 purring birds, mainly from deep in the Hawthorns, with just 1 bird seen,

Cuckoo, 1 calling bird,

Skylark, c12,

House Martin, c40 feeding high overhead,

Chiffchaff, c20 singing birds,

Lesser Whitethroat, 1,

Whitethroat,3,

Rook, c80,

Yellowhammer, c12,

Corn Bunting, c6.
