Odd Swallow parties feeding presumably local birds + odd few Swifts
re Craggys comments on H.Sparrow numbers, really doing well around the area with lots of birds in gardens also min. 6 House Martin nests along Hollin Way at Crawshawbooth end ( new colony). How many more are breeding undetected on new properties around Rossendale?

House martins have also moved onto new houses at the Britannia end of New Line (between the reservoir and Lancashire Sock). At least 2 prs nested there last year. Perhaps this is one bird that will prosper from the 5000 houses that are allegedly planned to be built in Rossendale
