A bit of sunshine made a huge difference today

common hawker - 39 including several pairs and oviposting females  (highest count prior to this was 18 last year)

black darter - 150

black-tailed skimmer - 1 male (only the second record for Rossendale)

common blue damselfly - 35

emerald damselfly - 220
