  • hobby- 1 flew across Stubbylee Moss
  • kestrel - 1
  • Whitethroat - 1 at Futures Park
  • willow warbler - calling bird
  • spotted flycatcher - 1 on the track up to the quarry
  • redstart - 2 (possibly 3) on the track up to the quarry
  • wheatear - 1 in the west end of the quarry
  • mistle thrush - 4
  • starling - 40
  • chaffinch - flock of 4
  • greenfinch - min 4 heard on the track up to the quarry
  • goldfinch - charm of 9
  • redpoll - family party of 7

Hi Ste

Redstarts, whitethroat, hobby & spotted flycatcher are definitely all movers.  The wheatear probably was as well.  Perhaps Craig should be setting his nets up

Must say when I look at these I should have gone there and not Holden Wood! Those Redstarts look fantastic. Juvenile Redstarts look better than the adult males in my eyes. The first two Redstarts look like the same bird but the 3rd Redstart looks much younger. Easterly winds today, tomorrow and Friday. Great selection there.
