Generally very quiet round the reservoirs with poor visibility most of the afternoon. No sign of the great white egrets

Holden Wood

• 1 male stonechat near the boardwalk
• 1 mistle thrush
• mixed flock min 12 long tailed, 5 blue & 5 great tit
• 1 reed bunting

Ogden

• 1 grey heron
• 1 cormorant
• 8 mallard
• 5 teal
• c100 lapwing
• 1 snipe
• 3 meadow pipit
• 1 grey wagtail
• 1 pr stonechat
• 1mistle thrush

Calf Hey

• 8 mallard
• 6 teal
• 1 buzzard
• 1 great spotted woodpecker
• min 2 siskin over

Crow Trees to Heap Clough

• male sparrowhawk came up from Jamestone Quarry and dived at unidentified prey item at Crow Trees
• 1 buzzard
• 1 kestrel
• fieldfare - flocks of c150, 57, c50, c80,13, 60 & 6 mostly appeared to be flying towards Calf Hey to roost, although some may have stayed to roost at Heap Clough
• redwing - only a couple picked out in the fieldfare flocks
