A Breeding Bird Survey square has become available at Cowpe Moss. It comes under the area of the GM BTO Rep, Nick Hilton.
His email says:
SD 8519 = Cowpe Moss, Whitworth, Rochdale (note, terrain-wise and location this is a challenging, but rewarding, survey. It also comes with an additional "adjacent" survey square, so is effectively double size. An experienced hill walker/surveyor would probably be preferential but the historical surveyor is available to give advise and guidance on this survey to anybody interested).
From this description it would definitely suit a 'legger'.
