Canada Goose, several sitting pairs, c50 along side Ogden, 2 pairs on the moor top,

Mallard, c12,

Teal 2 pairs on Holden Wood,

Goldeneye, pair on Calf Hey,

Buzzard, 3 soaring together plus 4 singles seen,

Sparrowhawk, female over Holden Wood,

Grey Partridge, single bird near Thirteen Stone Hill, my first for ages!

Pheasant, 1 male near Troy,

Moorhen, 2 on Holden Wood,

Curlew, 2 pairs on the tops,

Oystercatcher, pair near Troy,

Lapwing, c6 pairs at Holden Wood plus single bird on the tops,

Snipe, chipping bird on Thirteen Stone Hill plus 3 flushed off the tops,

LRP, 1,

L.B.B.Gull, 6 through west,

B.H.Gull, c12 through west,

Wood Pigeon, c20,

Stock Dove, pair on pasture top end of Calf Hey,

Green Woodpecker, yaffling birds at Heap Clough & Calf Hey,

Skylark, c12, many in song,

Swallow, c6 around Holden Wood plus 2 north over the moors,

Sand Martin, 3 at Holden Wood mobbing the sparrowhawk,

Meadow Pipit, c70, many in display,

Pied Wagtail, c6,

Wheatear, 4 above Troy and a single at Calf Hey,

Song Thrush, 4 in song plus 1 on wood pile at Calf Hey,

Mistle Thrush, 3 in song,

Willow Warbler, c20 in song,

Chiffchaff, 1 singing at Calf Hey,

Blackcap, 1 singing at Calf Hey,

Coal Tit, c40, every plantation had many calling birds. 6 were having a dispute in Clough Head Clough,

Nuthatch, 2 singing birds at Calf Hey,

Chaffinch, c20 with many in song,

Goldfinch, c4,

Siskin, calling birds at Calf hey & Holden Wood,

Lesser Redpoll, singing birds at Calf Hey,

Reed Bunting, female at Holden Wood.
