Whilst stood at the bus stop opposite the Royal in Waterfoot this morning between 7:25 & 7:35 the following were noted

c350 herring gulls flew up to Cowpe having appeared to have come from a west/ north westerly direction

c400 jackdaws (a couple of small flocks, totalling c50 & then 1 large flock c350 birds) flew over towards Stacksteads

1 kestrel over Lench

song thrush and dunnock singing from Hugh Mill

yesterday morning 10 rooks flew over Gaghills towards Rook Hill @ 7:10. It might be worth checking Riley's Wood/ New Laithe at Dunnockshaw to see if the corvid roost is in use

shame the bus came

cheers Kevin
