3 swifts north over Ewood Bridge this morning.

Other odds'n'sods today:

About 100 hirundines over the sewage works am. Mostly swallows but c30 house martins

Bubbling curlews Alden and Musbury (bottom of valley)

Singing wheatear Alden and a pair (male chacking) Musbury

Blackcaps, chiffchaffs and willow warblers now present at all the expected sites between Rawtenstall and Ewood Bridge (no whitethroats yet).

2 Swifts over crawshawbooth primary school at 8.45am this morning also. (6 at Brockholes NR at lunchtime too)

Possibly the same birds as timing is about right. Or possibly not.....
