1 little gull flew in from the east this afternoon and fed actively for quite a while before resting on the shore for half an hour before taking off and feeding around the res again. Still present when Peter and I left at around 10 to 5.

Also present 

  • cormorant - 1 over, but didn't stay
  • kestrel - 4
  • lesser-black backed gull - 4
  • common gull - 2
  • black-headed gull - 7
  • stock dove - 3
  • woodpigeon - 15
  • pied wagtail - 1
  • meadow pipit - 1
  • swallow - 15
  • stonechat - 1pr 
  • magpie - 3
  • carrion crow - 8
  • jackdaw - 6
  • starling - c70
  • linnet - flocks of 13 & c40

Little Gull still present from 3.15 - 5.30pm this afternoon. Hanging around with 5 B H Gulls on far bank / top end stream and pretty flighty. Lots of people around the res from 4pm onwards after the sun came out.

Pics to follow as laptop gooberd !!

Green Woodpecker calling on far banking and several Kestrels and Little Owls in quarry.

Also present at Spring Mill Reservoir:- Green Woodpecker, Little Owl, Buzzard, Black Headed Gull, Kestrel, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw, Magpie, Mistle Thrush, Pied Wagtail, Swallow, House Martin, Canada Goose, Mallard,.It's the Little Gull's fifth day, at least, at Spring Mill Reservoir, is it unusual so far in land? Dave Ousey

little gull still present early afternoon. 

also of note

  • 1 spotted flycatcher by the little pond between Wallbank and the res
  • 2 ravens over
  • 1 buzzard over
  • 1 sparrowhawk
  • 2+ kestrel
  • 1 little owl
  • 3 min green woodpecker
  • 1pr stonechat
  • flock of 12 linnet

No sign of Little Gull at Spring Mill Reservoir. 20 Linnets, 3 BH Gull, 2 LBB Gull, 3 Cormorant, lots of Swallows and House Martin's. Dave Ousey.
