Mitchell's House - 24 goosanders the only waterfowl, plus around 150 herring gulls and 50 black-headed gulls. Single figures of common and lesser black-backed gulls. Nearby single stonechat and reed bunting to the north, a late skylark over Black Moss and 60 lapwings on the way to Stonefold
Clowbridge - 9 goosanders, 1 teal, 12 cormorants and about 20 common gulls.
Also had a potter round Great Hameldon looking for the snow bunting without success.
Earlier in the week 5 red grouse on Bull Hill Monday (19/11) was I think my best count for this area and a woodcock at the top of Alden Wednesday (22/11)
