Half term holiday so family at home whilst I'm at work.

Got home to a video of a female Sparrowhawk taking a Jackdaw in our back garden.

It took the Sparrowhawk over 20 minutes to subdue the Jackdaw and a further 90 minutes to devour it.

Looking at the struggle on the video the Jackdaw was almost the same size as the Sparrowhawk so no wonder it was such a battle.

One inspired son, who has now read up on everything Sparrowhawk and one upset daughter who thinks nature is downright cruel!
