0800/1100 hrs, cool southerly breeze, 7 degrees.

Still 5/6 Brambling at feeders.

Good numbers of Blackbird,Robin,Wren and Dunnock around the route, most in song.

Blue,Great, and Coal Tit all actively nesting.

Three Long-tailed Tit nests completed, with one possible sitting bird.

Several Chaffinch in Song.

Bullfinch....one pair at feeding station and another near Alderbottom.

Only two Goldfinch seen.

Great Spotted Woodpecker....at least three pair around old nest sites displaying and chasing.

Green Woodpecker......there has been two pair for a few days actively cleaning old holes out, very vocal.

Jackdaw....several nests in trees and chimneys

Jay....still in small groups feeding.

Chiffchaff.....four in song, Alderbottom, Chatterton wood and Irwell vale.

Dipper....of my four regular sites one is empty, one full nest built, two with birds carrying nesting material.

Grey Wagtail.....three pair, one pair in and out of wall nest site at Alderbottom.

Kingfisher.....one flying upstream.

Grey Heron....onesitting bird Irwell vale.

Mallard.... no sitting birds found.

One Buzzard high over Irwell vale.

Goosander......four females fishing.

Male Pheasant Alderbottom.

Song Thrush......Several feeding in undergrowth, none in song.

No Hirundinidae species seen.
