Migrants today along the river around 12.00 - 2.00 - 1 willow warbler EBSW. Chiffchaffs at Groundwork (2), K Steel, EBSW and Irwell Vale. Only hirundines 3 or 4 swallows over the sewage works (was there yesterday evening around 6.00 and didn't record any). 2 coots HTL and all the usual riparian spp

Hi Andy, thanks for the call about Willow Warbler.

EBSW at 1530 hrs.....Flock of 40 plus mixed Swallow and House Martin feeding low over the filter beds, managed to pick out 3/4 Sand Martin as well.

Could not find your Willow Warbler, but walked up to main road and back down river through Stand sports ground and heard one in song as the path rises away from the river, found it eventually feeding on Crack Willow.
