Thought I would try my luck again for a Hawfinch at Sizergh it wasnt too be, but with a reported

Green-winged Teal the night before at Leighton Moss at the Allan hide Morecambe Bay would be the next stop.

Only three people where in the hide watching the bird feeding along the back of the pool a nice lifer tick,

around 200 Black-tailed Godwits 40+ Avocets and a distant Spoonbill seen too.

Onto the main reserve to be meet by Cettis-Willow-Chiffchaff and Blackcap singing spring was definitely here,

Marsh Harriers where putting on flight display over the reedbeds most of the day.

Causeway hide was giving excellent views of a female Scaup along with Tufted Duck Goldeneye and Pochard

with a otter showing in the distance, Osprey and a single Red Kite over too.

Stopped on to have a look out over the reedbeds from the Sky Tower to see if out would fly in later,

Marsh Harriers where still around, then two Great White Egrets and 4 Little Egret came in to roost

all in all a great days birding

Cheers Craggy
