tawny owls also calling in the area
1 redshank heard over BRGS on Tuesday 23rd
1 magpie heard calling yesterday @ 10:15pm. This is the third time I've heard them calling at night this year. In February one of our local birds was calling for half an hour after 9:30pm. I'm used to hearing robins and the occasional blackbird, but I cannot recall hearing magpies calling after dark before this year
