• mallard - 38 at New Line Res & 3, including an escaped domestic type, in Whitworth Quarry
• kestrel - 1 over Whitworth Quarry
• lesser black-backed gull - flock of 21 over & 56 in Whitworth Quarry
• moorhen - 1at New Line Res
• little owl - 1pr in east end of Lee Quarry
• kingfisher - 1 in Whitworth Quarry. 
• swallow - flocks of 16 & 35 appeared to be flying south over Whitworth Quarry
• wheatear - family party of 5 in Lee Quarry
• mistle thrush - 1 over Lee Quarry track, was the first I have seen for a while
• jay - 2 over Deansgreave Lane, New Line
• house sparrow - c20 feeding on blackberries at New Line Res
• linnet - 8 in Whitworth Quarry
• greenfinch - 6 at Lee Clough
• redpoll - flock of 20 at Lee Clough
• bullfinch - calling birds at Lee Clough 
• reed bunting - 1 on Deansgreave Lane
