Canada goose - 6 at New Line Res
mallard - 38 at New Line Res & 3, including an escaped domestic type, in Whitworth Quarry
kestrel - 1 over Whitworth Quarry
lesser black-backed gull - flock of 21 over & 56 in Whitworth Quarry
moorhen - 1at New Line Res
little owl - 1pr in east end of Lee Quarry
kingfisher - 1 in Whitworth Quarry.
swallow - flocks of 16 & 35 appeared to be flying south over Whitworth Quarry
wheatear - family party of 5 in Lee Quarry
mistle thrush - 1 over Lee Quarry track, was the first I have seen for a while
jay - 2 over Deansgreave Lane, New Line
house sparrow - c20 feeding on blackberries at New Line Res
linnet - 8 in Whitworth Quarry
greenfinch - 6 at Lee Clough
redpoll - flock of 20 at Lee Clough
bullfinch - calling birds at Lee Clough
reed bunting - 1 on Deansgreave Lane
