Willow Warbler singing outside our house (folly) this morning c8.30am. Not heard again this afternoon. bet it wishes it hadnt come so early as it was bitterly cold this aft.
Without digging in our records, I think thats one of the earliest dates weve had for W Warb in c/booth??
Prior to this year, the earliest record I can find for willow warbler, is 2 at EBSW in 2005 on 26th March. All other dates are later than yours yesterday, except for the one reported by Paul G at Chatterton on 27th March this year
The one that Paul found on the 27th I relocated yesterday close to where he saw it, but again no song but definatley of that sp, this afternoon, what is probably another because of location {railway bank in Stubbins} was in full song, a collegue of mine had one on Chat Moss on Thursday which is his earlist record for there.
pretty sure weve had them here (c/booth) before end of March in the early 2000s. But last 1-2 days of March. Prob not in your records tho. no sight or sound of it since.
