Hi Guys,

I've manged to get to the following rookeries over the last few weeks but left it a bit late with plenty of foliage making counting difficult so if anyone knows different to the figures below please correct. The main drop seems to be at Broadclough with nests in only one tree so far as I could see. Good to see birds back at Graver Weir after many years absence. Haven't been able to check Whitworth so if anyone knows how they are doing please add.

Crawshawbooth       39

Goodshaw               12

Rook Hill                 34

Bacup                       7

Broadclough            13

Graver Weir            12

Water                     15

Peers Clough             8

Farmers Glory         12

Acre                         7

Any body know of any others in Rossendale?

Regards,

David.

Hi Dave

I checked Bacup centre on 2nd April and found 9 nests completed with another under construction. I checked Rook Hill on 22nd April and found 37 nests. Pete checked Broadclough on 25th May and found 14 nests. As per your report these were all in the same tree.

Are there any at Rawtenstall this year?

cheers Kevin
