A whinchat, a spotted flycatcher and a pair of Stonechats with fledged young up Deansgreave Lane nr UU compound were a nice surprise on the way up onto the moor.

An adult Yellow Wagtail and a landed Cormorant  in the Quarry was also a firsts for me up here. Y Wag obvs a passage bird. A group of 11 Wheatear together at the top of Deangreaves Lane. 50 Goldfinch, 8-10 Linnet and just 1 Twite nr the quarries. Very quiet apart from that with just 1-2 Mipits and a couple of Skylark and not much else.
