Unfortunately the colony was washed out following the heavy rains on Tuesday - there may have been as many as 10 pairs still on the go. On Sunday (23rd) there were large young in five of the holes so some of these may have got away.
Nevertheless, this year has been the best I can remember for this colony - a minimum of 24 pairs nested and probably nearly all fledged young. At least 15 pairs had second broods and certainly 5 (probably more) fledged young before the rains.
