Yellow wagtail female feeding at the top end this morning on the shore and around the juncus. Watched for about 10 minutes before it disappeared although I didn't see it fly off.  Pochard found by Sarfraz near the dam. Headed back down from Ogden just in time to see it fly off west. Shoveler present again.

Also on HWR teal (8 but Sarfraz had one or two more), great crested grebe (1), snipe (2), reed bunting (2), stonechat (4+), chiffchaff (3+, 1 singing) and at least 200 canada geese.

Otherwise a fairly quiet day for me with a wasted hour's vis-mig on Cribden (less than 50 meadow pipits and precious little else) and an unproductive trip round Musbury and Alden.  One blackcap the only other summer migrant recorded today (no skylarks and a lot fewer meadow pipits about).

Andy
