G.C.Grebe, 2 on the res,

Cormorant, 2 on the res,

Teal, 2 on the back pond,

Mallard, c30 on the res,

Common Scoter, 2 drakes, 1 being constantly hassled by B.H.Gulls but later both birds in middle of res,

Goosander, 3 redheads on back pond,

Buzzard, 1 over Nutshaw,

Kestrel, c8 on the surrounding hills,

L.B.B.Gull, c6 over & 2 on res,

Common Gull, 1 on res,

B.H.Gull, c30 on res,

Meadow Pipit, c30 over in flocks to 7 and c12 around the res,

Stonechat, group of 5 near Compstons,

Mistle Thrush, flock of 4 over Compstons,

Chiffchaff, 2 calling and 1 in brief song,

Coal Tit, c5,

L.T.Tit, flock of c6,

Rook, 2 over,

Jay, 2,

Magpie, flock of 15 behind boat house,

Goldfinch, charm of 7,

Greenfinch, flock of 3,

Chaffinch, c6,

Bullfinch, 2 calling birds,

Lesser Redpoll, 2 behind back pond and 1 over calling,

Reed Bunting, 1 at Compstons & 1 behind back pond.

11:45-14:00
Missed the Scoter but had 3 GC Grebe.
I had two 'large' yellowish (in colour not South American) pipits fly over

Hi Ian,

You must have missed them by minutes as although they got a tough time from the gulls initially they looked quite settled in the middle of the res when I left at 11:00. Had any wind surfers or boats come onto the res? I've posted a few photos as the gulls pushed one of the birds quite close to the shore by Scoter standards!
