Several feeding Tit flocks around the route including Great, Blue, and Coal tit nothing unusual in with the flocks.
Long-tailed Tit.....two parties of 14/11 on cycle track and Ewood Bridge.
Goldfinch....large charm on thistles near Irwell Vale (40+) and small charms in Strongstry and Irwell vale.
Chaffinch....odd ones around.
Bullfinch....two females at Alderbottom.
Nuthatch.... again can only be described as common, at least a dozen seen around.
Robin....also plenty.
Wren....only saw Two, but others heard.
Dunnock.....usual pairs along cycle track in the leaf litter, two more along river in Irwell Vale
Great Spotted Woodpecker......4 individuals.
Blackbird.....some residents around but not that many.
Song Thrush..... one in my garden, and three more mainly along river at Alderbottom.
Mistle Thrush.....just two on open fields behind Meadow park.
Redwing.....30+ moving through Chatterton wood.
The above were being chased by a Male Sparrowhawk, probably the same bird seen over Ewood Bridge later, this was soaring in the company of a Buzzard and three Carrion Crows
Dipper......could be doubled up but at least 7 along the length of the river.
Grey Wagtail.....one on river bank in Irwell Vale.
Pied Wagtail.....Several around EBSW.
Goosander...... 9 redheads, 2 near Ewood Bridge, 4 in Irwell vale, and 3 in Strongstry.
Moorhen.....1 on Lodge in Irwell vale and one on the River at Ewood Bridge.
Pheasant.....3 at Alderbottom farm.
Jay.... 2 in Strongstry woods, 3 in Lumb woods.
Stock Dove....two on grass at EBSW.
Grey Heron.....1 on river in Irwell vale, and one over Ewood Bridge.
Also around and over, Jackdaw, Wood Pigeon, Black-headed Gull, and Mallards.
