3 Pochard (2males), 1 male tufted duck, 2 teal, c20 mallard and 3 goosanders around then over south, 1 great-crested grebe, 4 cormorants and a handful of common and black-headed gulls.
One stonechat in the north bay the only interesting passerine
The Clowbridge duckfest appears to be over for the time being. Just one goosander and a few mallard first thing this morning (10/11). One great-crested grebe also present and a crossbill over east at the top end.
Nothing exciting at Clough Bottom. On the way back to Rawtenstall 2 stonechats and a reed bunting swallow shore, one or two fieldfares and a redwing Peersclough and only 3 meadow pipits Swinshaw to Bonfire Hill
