• Mallard - 16 in Waterfoot & 5 at New Line Res
• moorhen - 1 at New Line Res
• woodcock - 1 flew over the top end of Lee Clough, the returned and appeared to go down in Lee Quarry
• buzzard - 1 over Fearns Moss towards The Hile
• kestrel - 1 at Moss Meadow & 1 at Deansgreave Road, New Line
• little owl - 1 in Lee Quarry
• great black-backed gull - 1 north east high over Rook Hill in the company of a smaller gull
• lesser black-backed gull - 1 on a telegraph pole near Thornfield Avenue in Waterfoot waiting for the locals to put bread out
• great spotted woodpecker - 1 at moss Meadow, 1 at Shade End & 1 in Stubbylee Park. Yesterday 1 was drumming in Edgeside Park
• collared dove - 1pr & a single in Stacksteads & 1 near Edgeside Park
• feral pigeon - min 30 in Waterfoot
• meadow pipit - a single in Whitworth Quarry was the only bird seen there
• song thrush - singing birds at 3 sites in Waterfoot
• redwing - c15 at Shade End
• nuthatch - 1 at Shade End
• goldcrest - singing bird at Gaghills
• goldfinch - c12 at Waterbarn & c20 near Edgeside Park
• bullfinch - 4 near Waterbarn
