Late post for 12/4/21

Shortclough res.

8+ Canada Geese inc. 1 sitting bird

c8 Mallard - mostly males

c3 Moorhen

4 Coot

1 pr Little Grebe - my first on here for years

2 pr Long-tailed Tit - Bonfire Hill Quarry

1 Buzzard over Folly Clough soared off high

1 Nuthatch calling - Folly Clough

Rook counts -

8 nests at Goodshaw + 3 in a sub colony a little way to south

31 nests at St Johns Crawshawbooth

Other counts from elsewhere will be appreciated especially Whitworth and Haslingden areas

Hi Bob,
I popped up to the Haslingden sites last week and recorded as follows:
Acre 17 nests.
Farmer's Glory 12 nests.
