Grey Heron, 2 at Deeply Pond,

Canada Goose, pair with 2 young,

Greylag Goose, pair with at least 4 young, maybe more hidden in vegetation,

Buzzard, 1 up the valley towards Whittle,

Kestrel, 4 singles,

Pheasant, calling birds,

Curlew, 2 pairs,

Oystercatcher, pair near Deeply Pond,

Lapwing, a flock of 15 flew up the valley plus a flock of 6 on pasture,

Snipe, 1 on Harden Moor,

L.B.B.Gull, c40 over,

B.H.Gull, 2 on Deeply Pond,

Stock Dove, flock of 3,

Tawny Owl, 1 being mobbed by a blackbird and Chaffinch near bottom lodge,

Little Owl, 1 near Harden Moor,

Swift, 4 over,

Skylark, c15, many in song,

Swallow, c12,

House Martin, 2 over Sales's Farm,

Sand Martin, c10,

Meadow Pipit, c20,

Pied Wagtail, 2,

Grey Wagtail, male on top lodge,

Wheatear, pair near Harden Moor,

Stonechat, single juv near Deeply Hill,

Song Thrush, 2 singing,

Mistle Thrush, 1,

Willow Warbler, c12, many in song,

Blackcap, 3 singing,

Whitethroat, 4 singing birds,

Grasshopper Warbler, 1 reeling from rushes between Buckhurst Farm & Ridshaw Farm,

Raven, pair soaring together,

Starling, c100 inc several juvs,

Goldfinch, c12, many in song,

Linnet, c30, especially on Harden Moor where presumably feeding,
