Hi Dave

I walked round the reservoirs only between 9 & 1:30. I missed the goldeneye & didn't see a single raptor, but can add the following

  • grey heron - 1 at Holden Wood was probably the same bird that was seen flying onto Calf Hey
  • greylag goose - 1pr were at Holden wood, but flew west at 10:30
  • common sandpiper - there was a pair at Calf Hey, with at least 1 small juv on the res bank
  • lapwing - 6 adults at Holden Wood, with at least 6 juvs (3 + 2 + 1)
  • curlew - 1 at Calf Hey
  • reed bunting - I had 10 singing males from Holden Wood to Calf Hey

cheers Kevin
