Request for help identifying a bird of prey under suspicion of being a hen harrier and failing to stop for a good photo

Apologies for the frivolous title, I couldn't resist.

I have hen harrier hallucinations quite regularly. Usually it's a buzzard or a gull (once it was a pigeon...).

I know the photos aren't much to go off, just interested what people think it might be. Guess it could be a sparrowhawk. Just looked a bit... big.

I saw it out of my window which overlooks Reedsholme. It flew off down Burnley Road (towards Haslingden).

Looks like a sparrowhawk to me. If it looked big, presumably it was a female.
