Canada Goose, c20 in pairs throughout the valley,

Mallard, c6,

Teal, 4 pairs and 2 single males on various waters,

Buzzard, 3 singles,

Kestrel, male perched up in a tree,

Pheasant, 2 calling birds,

Moorhen, 4,

Curlew, pair near Deeply pond and a single on Harden Moor,

Oystercatcher, 1 feeding off Croston Close Road,

Lapwing, c12 birds generally in display,

Snipe, 2 at Deeply pond and 2 on Harden Moor,

Herring Gull, flock of 4 over calling,

L.B.B.Gull, 2 over,

B.H.Gull, 1 on Buckhurst Lodge,

Wood Pigeon, c100 inc flock of 72 feeding on the old turf fields,

Green Woodpecker, bird(s) yaffling regularly plus one flew down the valley,

G.S.Woodpecker, calling bird,

Skylark, c20, many in song,

Meadow Pipit, c20, mainly on Harden Moor,

Pied Wagtail, 2,

Stonechat, female near Cheesden Bar Lodge,

Song Thrush, c5 in song,

Fieldfare, flock of 6,

Raven, pair seen several times plus several singles,

Jay, calling birds,

Starling, c12 inc pair collecting nesting material,

Goldfinch, c12,

Greenfinch, 4 calling birds,

Chaffinch, c4,

Lesser Redpoll, calling bird over,

Linnet, pair in gorse just off Harden Moor,

Reed Bunting, c6.

Hi David,

Done similar route this morning and can add....

Stonechat....a pair near the sub station.

Chiffchaff.....one in song in copse at Wham Hill farm.

Sand Martin....seven low over Cheesden Brook.

Grey Wagtail....pair near Old mill ruin.
